Antagal kong sinadyang hindi magpost (almost a week) just to see how good my memory is, plus to see the continuity of my storytelling, and it seems to me that I'll be starting nothing more than random bits and pieces of the past week. Anyway, here you go.
- Nung byernes ng gabi after I posted my last entry, bumili muna kami ng makakain sa grocery ng Rob Pioneer. Kind of like our last supper dun sa IVOLine. Funny enough, we saw Peggy dun and told her the news. She was shocked, to say the least. Shocked, but at the same time she knew that it would happen, lalo na at si Mr. Oh pa ata ang naging major deciding factor sa pagkaka-terminate ng account namin. Nung nakabalik kami, kumain kami saglit, then we all went down to talk to the HR personnel. We didn't have any idea as to what it was all about, but they said it was imperative that we go there so sige. I eventually got my turn to talk to Miss Lai and found out first hand what the hell it was all about. Plus they offered us a chance to work for IVOLine itself as an EIA or a WM employee, but with a lower pay. Tae nila. Of course, I declined. Haha. When it was John's turn to sign, medyo nagtaka kami kung bakit antagal nila sa loob ng conference room. Ayun, paglabas nya, sinabi nyang kinukumbinsi pala sya ng mga hitad na magwork for them as a language trainer. Asa pang papayag yun. All the while we were busy with this, Mr. Oh kept on appearing seemingly from out of nowhere na parang inaasar kami with his slapstick comedy and uninteresting ice breakers. Ervs just kept dissing him until he went away. Pagbalik ko sa desk ko, I decided to finally "use the Internet for personal use" by doing a Densha Otoko marathon sa YouTube, checking my Friendster account, and whatnot. I even opened the non-worksafe 4chan. Haha. Right before we left, TL Ayka hugged each of us. Sweet. As soon as we were out of the building, pinag-usapan agad namin yung mga plano namin. Syempre, we needed a job ASAP. Funny enough, one of my online job applications were answered agad - I subitted the application at around 5pm and got the response as pagbalik namin from buying food (7pm). Medyo na-guilty ako na naunahan ko sila but hey, talagang ganyan. Haha. We talked about all sorts of work-related stuff while we ate a late dinner at McDo before we decided to call it a day. Pagsakay ko sa bus, I wasn't able to figure out whether the sigh I gave out was of relief or of an empty feeling.
It was a little studio-type room situated on the 7th floor of a building near the gates of Ayala Village. Pagpasok ko, a bunch of adolescent Koreans studying were the first scene I saw. Wow. Hanep sa diligence. I immediately approached the Korean girl na nakaposte sa gilid, assuming she was the HR manager (though I had a hunch she wasn't, bata pa eh). I gave her my resume then referred me to a Filipino employee. This girl directed me to a room where I took my test, then the boss' wife came in with their daughter (yung Korean girl na akala ko HR manager) for my interview. They were impressed with my experience. After a couple of minutes, Mr. Head Honcho walked in to talk to me about the work hours and compensation. Too bad the offer was a little low. Gumawa na lang ako ng excuse for me not to immediately say "yes" to his offer. Besides, I wanted to rest for a week before looking for another job.
- The next few days were nothing out of the ordinary. Did my daily routine of visiting my wife and kid, playing Castlevania: Circle of The Moon (which by the way turned out to be my greatest vampire-killing challenge so far), searching for jobs online, daydreaming.
Ayokong pag-usapan. Just thought maybe you'd get a kick out of the thought.
- A couple of days ago, mum finally got the chance to visit Rikki-chan and Sean sa Las Pinas. The moment she met her grandson was priceless. Even though she wasn't able to stay long, I already sensed that she likes Rikki-chan, and is happy I ended up with her. It was one of those moments that made me smile out of sheer happiness.
- Bad trip itong mga nakaraang araw. Parang napaka-disaster-prone ng Pilipinas. May mga bagyo lately, tapos nung isang araw lumindol pa. Nakngputs, dapat na ata akong magbalik-loob. Haha.
Ayan tuloy, may curfew mamayang 12mn hanggang 5am bukas.
Anyway, medyo kabado rin ako about the curfew so uuwi na ako. Hehe. Catch ya'll next time. Class dismissed.~

Post 0012: Good Riddance, IVOLine (The Best Revenge Is Living Well)
Yeah, what a weekender news. CDI's account has finally been severed from IVOLine. Bakit?
1. CDI's planning to go solo sa 'Pinas (magtatayo sila dito)
2. CDI heard about the situation of their employees here and decided to pull out (but why at our expense)
3. CDI's Mobilish project didn't push through (but I highly doubt that this is the case)
4. CDI employees aren't good enough to make the cut (SOBRANG IMPOSIBLE)
5. CDI finally realized that their partnership with IVOLine totally sucks (amen to that)
It was such a shocker pero if you guys would analyze from the past few posts, there was already tension in the air (Alan shouting over the phone, Mr. Oh talking to Jane's manager, all the bullshitry we had to go through while we were here which was dealt by some fat amazon bitches), so you could say na matagal na naming nakita itong scenario na ito. The thing is, we didn't think about it that much since we have been given some sort of "assurance" by our superiors.
Bullshit.
They didn't have the balls to tell that in front of us. Kailangan pang sa HR pa namin malaman. I am hoping that by the time I'm done with this, we can talk to Alan or sumthin'.
I actually don't have a lot of fond memories sa company na ito, considering that we didn't stay that long naman plus there's really nothing to be happy about apart from the pay and the workload we had. I'll take this time to thank all the people who made my life here a little happier.
Chris Dundy and Peggy Anderson, my two former superiors. Thank you for the faith and trust you gave the team. Good luck with every endeavor you may undertake in the future.
TL Ayka. I'll never forget the Milky Way candy bar. :)
Valerie, Bianca, Sharon, Mykee, Nick, Ervs, Jonathan and Joy. Thank you for all the help you gave us sa training and for all the LOL moments we had. More success for us.
Finally, my two close teammates - John and Geo. Our group couldn't possibly be crazier, and I couldn't be any happier with having you two as my batchmates.
Pahabol sa IVOLine. Salamat sa pera. Sorry I wasn't born with enough middle fingers.
The next saga is not far from the horizon, I assure you. Malay nyo, as early as next week... ;)
Finally, I'd like to end this by quoting the lines on a tattoo etched on Montel Vontavious Porter's skin:
The best revenge is living well.

Post 0011: My (Hair)Dos and Don'ts
Bad trip yung ulan kagabi. Sobrang lakas. It's a good thing na kahit may nakisukob sa akin, payat naman (si Ervs, the Lisa Kudrow look-alike). Nag-taxi na lang sya pauwi as soon as we reached the southbound EDSA road. As always, tamang abang ako ng Cher bus (it's the only southbound bus I ride nowadays) and surprisingly, it took about fifteen minutes bago ako nakasakay. Buti naman at hindi gaanong malamig sa bus that time. Shet. Naka-leather pa man din ako. Unlike when we were young na ayaw nating mag-balat na sapaatos, it's an important part of your get-up pag nagtatrabaho ka na. Based on my experience a couple of days back, di na ako umupo sa near corner kasi baka magmukha na naman akong pinagsakluban ng langit at lupa pagdating ng Calamba. It looked like a raging Mekong River outside the jeep.
Nakarating naman sa opisina on time.
I finally thought of having it trimmed after payday at baka ipa-Mr. Kennedy ko na to, complete with off-white hair. I actually wanted to have my usual hairstyle pero kulay puti pero katulad pala yun ng buhok ni Gerard Way (ng My Chemical Romance, you emo posers), so wag na lang sabi ko. You'll never see me in that sort of fag hairstyle. I'll go for those hip-hop cornlocks, afro even – but NEVER the emo hairstyle. Yak.
Speaking of hairdos, I think I've done but 5 styles in my entire life – the default kid hairdo, undercut (yung “Keempee” hairdo), spikes, skinhead and mop-top (the most common hairstyle you associate me with). Let's start analyzing the various periods and inspirations for my crazy tops.
Default – I guess this one needs no further explanation. Most boys had this sort of barber's cut style of 'do. LIES!
Undercut – Early 1990s ata nauso itong style na ito, popularized by Keempee De Leon. Yung tipong bowl tapos may hati sa gitna and shit. I have to say na considering that my hair was a bit wavy, it turned our to be more of an Ely Buendia than a Keempee. Okay lang, at least I could associate myself with a rockstar. Haha.
Spikes – Mas kilala sa tawag na “Oasis” cut (hanggang ngayon I'm still trying to connect the dots but to no avail). You basically put gel and brush the back and sides neatly, then raise your bangs. A lot of chicks dig the cleanliness, but there were too many people sporting that 'do at the time (and up to now I can still see some people having that kind of style). I remember nung high school, it seemed as if it was a prescibed haricut from a communist government because everyone had almost the same 'do. Of course, adolescence meant scoring so having a good hairdo was one step towards getting you around all three bases and back, pero sadyang magastos ang mag-gel araw-araw just to keep those bangs up high.
Skinhead – The “master reset” button. Normally done pag may drastic change sa buhay ko (or pag nagising ako at naisipang magpakalbo for no apparent reason). I've done it 5 times already, the most recent was more or less 5 months ago, after the “Betrayal of Flesh” incident, and it was done out of repentance.
Mop-top – The Beatles look (or Orange and Lemons look, whichever you prefer). This is the hairstyle I've had for the longest time. Nagsimula nung second year high school, and I still have the 'do up to now. Nagsimula as a declaration of myself being an Oasis fan, na-retain because of my fanboyism of Asian Kung-Fu Generation's vocalist Masafumi Gotoh, nagpatuloy dahil biglang sumikat ang Orange and Lemons at mukha daw akong member ng nasabing banda. Plus chicks dig it. I guess this was finally what defined me as ME, together with the black-framed glasses. Most people recognize me in this indie-looking son-of-a-bitch imagery, and of course I'm glad of the little hint of fame there. Haha.
So on with my office life saga. As expected, andito na nga si Mr. Oh. Hindi namin sya nakita pero sabi kanina ni TL he was behind us for a while.
Record time ako kanina sa pagtapos ng critical thinking question responses: under an hour. Madali lang yung tatlong topics. Yung una, all about user-created content sites (blogs, YouTube). Pangalawa, plastic surgery. Third, about celebrity comebacks. Well at least I had something to do today na work-related. And now, everyone's sort of having questions like:
What happens now that Mr. Oh is here again?
Will we see Jane again? If so, how will things work?
What was that call involving Alan really about?
What will be CDI's moves now regarding this project?
Magkakaroon pa ba kami ng maraming students? (sana hindi... LOL)
All for now I guess. Funny trivia: December 22 is my best friend Rain's birthday, and coincidentally, pati pala si pareng Jake. For more of the most handsome blogger in blogging history, click nyo lang yung link sa kaliwa (ang pinakapoging blogger sa balat ng lupa). Class dismissed.~

Post 0010: Geek Alert
*read the title carefully. if you're not one, skip this part. you probably won't appreciate this.*
Sobrang boring ng araw na ito. It's the third day of our Do-Nothing-At-Work Marathon, and it's really starting to suck. I think they'll be here to iron out things because I'm theorizing that they are having partnership problems with IVOLine. As of the moment, our group has a lot of theories as to why everyone involved with CDI dito sa PI entered this scenario. Hindi naman sa ayaw namin ng sitwasyon namin at the moment, it's just that sometimes it just worries us na wala kaming masyadong ginagawa and they revised the schedule. I hope that tomorrow, magandang balita yung makuha namin.
So since wala na naman kaming magawa ngayong araw na ito, we were Wiki-ing and talking about video games like Diablo, Medal of Honor, and so on, trying to argue if the assassin class existed sa Diablo or not. Nagpatuloy pa ang usapan sa dinner, and this time with titles such as Silent Hill and Resident Evil. Sa pagkakakilala ko sa teammates ko, Geo's an elite-type female gamer and gets wet dreams over elves and assassins. John, on the other hand, is the average type. Surprisingly, he has played some games I never thought he'd play, like Legend of Legaia. Plus he digs werewolves. Cool. So I made a list of our favorite game titles and some other random stuff about our game preferences.
Top 5 games (in no particular order):
Geo
1. Final Fantasy series
2. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
3. Prince of Persia
4. Neverwinter Nights
5. World of Warcraft
John
1. Medal of Honor
2. Breath of Fire
3. Diablo
4. Counter-Strike
5. Legend of Legaia
Myself:
1. The King of Fighters series (except '99 and 2003)
2.Castlevania – all.
3.Final Fantasy VII and VIII
4. Tony Hawk Pro Skater series
5.Fatal Frame series
The game character that best describes you:
Geo – Lulu (Final Fantasy X)
John – Kenji (Battle Realms)
Myself – Geese Howard (Fatal Fury/ King of Fighters)
So I think this tells us that Geo likes medieval-themed, LOTR-ish games with bishie characters and stealth missions, John is fond of strategy and action, and I am the head-on, slash-em-up-until-you-see-your-sword-come-out-of-the-other-side guy. Now if I would compare ourselves to Magic cards based on our preferences, eto kami:
Geo – Lys Alana Scarblade
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v651/hydeistsanzo/Card143021.jpg
It's an elf and an assassin. Enough said.
John – Greater Werewolf
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v651/hydeistsanzo/Card3849.jpg
Well, it's the coolest of all three werewolves sa Magic... Maybe R&D should make more werewolves in the future...
Myself – Hand of Cruelty
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v651/hydeistsanzo/Card74063.jpg
Pure evil. GAR samurai. Hehe.
Join me again tomorrow, and I hope to come up with a better feature than this bukas. Haha. My idleness and boredom went off the hook, wala akong naisip na ikuwentong iba. I promise, bukas, meron na. Class dismissed.~

Post 0009: High School Life
Today was even worse than expected. Sure, Alan's here now, but we still didn't have any calls (I just read a lot of past articles from Mark Rosewater's Making Magic column and did this entry), and something shocking happened this afternoon. He was talking to someone over the phone and started raising his voice. It seemed that he got into a heated argument with someone and he kept saying the word “YBM”. After that, he went out and still hasn't returned as of this time. Strange. I just hope that the argument had nothing to do with our work.
I didn't want to depress myself with negative thoughts so as always, music therapy ako to keep my sanity and to fuel my train of thought para makapagsulat nang maayos sa blog. And as for my treat for today, it's all about...*drumroll* high school life!
First Year.
Nung first year ko, akala ko sa medyo mataas na section ako mapupunta since first section ako nung grade 6 – first section out of three, to be exact. Ang bagsak ko? Ayun, seventh. Nun ko lang na-realize na ambaba talaga ng grades ko nung elementary (I was too scared to look at them, haha). Iba na pala talaga pag high school na. Subjects, approach, even the way you think will be changed. Kumbaga, nung tumapak kami sa paanan ng eskwelahan namin (Saint John Academy, ngayon eh Saint John Colleges, literally a breath away from where I live), nag-molt kami agad into young adults. There was nothing very memorable about this year, apart from the fact that I started playing Magic: The Gathering during this time (saka na yang kwento na yan) and having interest with this naïve girl from section 5 who'd often refer to me as “Section 7's Windbag”. Keep up with me and I fucking swear you'll just laugh after you find out what happened afterwards.
Second Year.
Section seven pa rin. This was, in my opinion, the year that I started my journey towards becoming what I am now. My musical inclination started when I got involved with a couple of students who had an Oasis cover band. They kicked their vocalist out because he was basically being an ass, and took me in. We never really got to perform sa school fair but we enjoyed all the jamming sessions we had. Though there was this one occasion that I got to perform sa school fair, and it was the first and last rap-rock performance by students sa history ng SJA. I did the rap and my friend was the human boombox. We did a couple of covers (Gangsta's Paradise and a Dog Eat Dog song pero limot ko na yung title) and then a freestyle. Much to our surprise, the audience, majority of which composed of rockers and chicks, were really down with our performance. There were even groupies who wanted to get me and my friend as blind dates. The best part of it was there was this local rap posse who wanted to feature us on their street party, pero syempre with the emergence of poser gangs (yung mga “gangsta”) I declined, baka kasi mauwi sa rambol yung party. Also, if my memory serves me right, it was also the year when boybands and girlbands really started to skyrocket into popularity. I was actually (and still am) a closet Spice Girls fan. Haha. Now you have something to ridicule me with. On with the story. This naïve girl I've been talking about, Marcia (not her real name), was starting to grow fond of me because I started to flirt with her (along with two other girls, which up to now hindi nya alam). Exhanging letters almost every day, asking her on dates and shit, the typical puppy love crap. I didn't even know why I was into her at the time. By the time that we were having a mutual understanding, our classmates were starting and ending relationships just as quick, sometimes even swapping boyfriends/girlfriends. How hardcore is that. And of course I didn't want to be a part of that stereotype so I stopped seeing her without even explaining to her why. Hindi lang siguro ako seryoso sa kanya.
Another signifcant happened that year as well. SJA closed due to the administration apparently not giving the teachers their rightful benefits which led to a strike. Syempre nung una tuwang-tuwa kami, thinking that makakapag-bakasyon kami sa kalagitnaan ng school year, pero after a couple of weeks after, saka namin narealize na malilintikan din kami dahil maghahanap kami ng bagong school na papasukan. Kumbaga, pinatapos muna kami bago tuluyang isinara yung school.
Third Year.
SJA students were generalized as the studious and wussy type, and LCBA students were like the fucking Satan's army in-training. I often dubbed it as “educational hell”, dahil sa dami ng delinquents na pumapasok despite the school's prestigious name. The high school department to be specific. It's like Cromartie High. If you hang out with me a lot, I've probably told you my funny experiences here. Of course I was influenced to drink, smoke, and all sorts of shit. Nung una I was into it kasi syempre may peer pressure pero I realized I was starting to become someone I didn't want to be so I looked for other geeks and befriended them. Tambayan namin? Arcades. PlayStation houses. Magic shops. And we spend a lot of cash on our hobbies, mas maganda na yun kesa sa ubusin namin sa yosi, alak, or worse – drugs. By the way, most of the SJA students also enrolled here so there were a lot of familiar faces, including Marcia. Pero syempre, I didn't give a damn about her. I was more engaged with my hobbies and surviving that school year. Oh, and by the way – the Junior-Senior Prom here totally SUCKED.
Fourth Year.
Everyone was surprised when word came out that SJA will re-open under the new name Saint John Colleges. The school had new teachers and featured a college department. Being the practical person that my mum is, she told me to finish high school here, at syempre tuwang-tuwa ako dahil makakatakas na ako sa kabaliwan ng LCBA. I really tried to make a mark this time by being an active part of extra-curricular activities - emceeing for events, being the editor-in-chief of the school paper and captain of the Sepak Takraw varsity team. You could say that I was known everywhere within the school premises, even though I declined running for the Student Body Organization because I've always hated politics. Going back to the puppy love story, Marcia was my classmate that year, which of course “rekindled old flames”. Out of the blue, I decided to make her my girlfriend. During the course of our courtship, she confessed that she felt the same way about me, and we became a couple nung October. Of course, this was the time for me to observe if my decision to date her was correct. Apparently it wasn't. She wasn't the naïve girl I used to know anymore. After three months and a simple snap of my fingers, I decided to ditch her for this other girl from section two (yeah, I know. It's Jeff-bashing time). Akane (definitely not her name) was this shy, mahinhin type. I've always wanted one of those back in the days, so I tried my luck with her. Eto yung progression ng events: I ditched Marcia during the Christmas Fair and immediately made my admirations for Akane clear in public. I was even requesting songs dedicated to her na nakapangalan sa akin. Everyone was like, “Whooooooooaaaaa...”. Tamang iritan at tuksuhan. A flamed Marcia tried to retaliate by hitting on my Sepak Takraw teammate but it failed kasi ayaw sa kanya nung guy. Haha. Anyway, Akane gave me the chance to talk to her about whatnots so we went sa balcony ng Science Building, where everyone could easily locate us (yeah, bash Jeff the jerk now). The courtship was a good experience – nagreregaluhan kami ng stuff kahit walang okasyon, we call each other, send letters everyday. It lasted until the prom night. Yun na yung panahon na inisip kong kailangan ko nang sabihin sa kanya verbally na I have feelings for her. Sa hindi-inaasahang pangyayari, natorpe ako bigla. Inatake rin ako ng selos dahil yung partner nya nung sayaw e yung kaibigan nyang lalake (who turned out to be a friend lang talaga *facepalm*). Nakita ako ng mga classmates ko, and they tried to comfort me. Finally, after a joint effort of our common friends from our respective sections, my magic prom moment arrived. She went inside the cafeteria, and it was just the two of us (apart from the cafeteria staff whom I know were eavesdropping, LOL). The conversation went like this:
Me: (Nervous) Umm... Sorry if I've been acting crazy all night. It's just that there's something that I want to tell you pero hindi ko alam kung paano ko sasabihin. Kinakabahan ako.
Akane: Well... Why don't you give it a try?
Me: (Bumubuwelo, insert love song) ... I've always liked you. And I want us to be together. I've done a lot of sacrifices just to be here in this moment with you.
Akane: Leaving Marcia wasn't a good decision. Bakit mo ba sya iniwan?
Me: Because I don't love her anymore. Nagbago na sya. And it's you want to serve now, as this ninja's princess (sidenote: Flame of Recca was so popular during that time, diba).
Akane: (Sighs) Jeff... Hindi ko pa masasagot ang gusto mong mangyari, but I'm not telling you to give up as well. Kasi kung tayo talaga, tayo talaga no matter what, diba?
Me: (Nods)
Akane: Why don't we just continue with what we have and see how far we can go, di ba? (smiles)
Me: (Smiles) Yeah... Thanks.
Akane: Pano, tena, balik na tayo.
Hindi pa dyan nagtatapos ang drama. After naming magsayaw ng slow, Marcia approached me and created a scene by returning the ring I gave her during one of our monthsaries. I knew it was going to happen, so I brought mine and hurled both of them towards the school roof. She then left. Apparently e sinundo na raw sya ng parents nya so I called it a day and went home. Everyone evetually got over the entire incident before graduation. What happened to me and Akane? Well, after graduation I decided to pursue another chick so... BASH BASH BASH!
Looking back at all these things, it makes me smile to realize the journey I have taken to be what I am now. It might have been rough, but hey, that's what life is. Amen? By the way, this was just a highlight of my high school life. Next time pag wala akong maisip i-feature, I'll tell you other stories from this part of my crazy life.
May you appreciate your past and live to be proud of what you have become. Until tomorrow, class dismissed.~
Post 0008: Three Days
Saturday, November 17.
Since sweldo naman nung Thursday, as always, I went to the local surplus shops sa Calamba before heading off to Las Pinas. I managed to buy one from the new arrivals. I saw this large black shirt of the 4-Star Theatre and a gray Sundance festival shirt. I opted for the former because the color of the latter was simply too faded. Anyway, proud of my new shirt, I decided to have it tailor-fitted para naman mas astig tignan. Hehe. Cuddled with Sean and Rikki-chan, then proceeded to play HoD ulit. For the record I believe that it was the longest playtime I've had for ages. 5 hours in total. I knew that the end was near, considering that I've covered 97% of the map already and there's just but one room unexplored, plus I already have most of the items I think I should be having at that time (Kaiser Mail, Platinum Tip, Crush Boots, and all sorts of random equipment). Ang masama nga lang nito eh hindi ko pala na-save state yung laro so I basically wasted around 45 minutes of gameplay. Cool, huh? Bad trip na sana, if not for the dried squid na ulam. Haha. Still hungry, I decided to look for beef pares as soon as I set foot on Calamba again (epekto ng pagkain sa Jona's sa Robinson's Pioneer – ansarap ng pares nila dun mga bords). Of course I didn't want to embark on this epic quest alone, so I recruited the services of my trusty friend Julius. I somehow persuaded the bastard to go with me so deretso muna kami sa bahay para iwan ko yung bag ko tsaka magpalit ng pambahay tapos dumeretso na kami papuntang Crossing. With thoughts of obtaining the fulfillment of my gastronomical desires there, we stopped over and check their menu. It didn't have the pares but almost everything on the menu was below 30 pesos so syempre dun na lang kami. Nakikipagkulitan pa sa amin yung tindera, halatang bored out of her wits na sa graveyard shift. Haha. But it was all good.
Next time that I buy something that's too big, I know exactly where to go now. Hehe. As we went through the people and the stalls, I remembered the days when I used to hang out that place a lot with my friends. Like more than ten years ago. Senior high downwards. We'd usually wake up at around 6am, walk on the way there, tapos ang una naming pinupuntahan e kung meat and seafood section, which I hated so much because of the different smells na naghahalo-halo sa ilong mo pag naglalakad ka. Dinadaan ni nanay sa kamustahan ang discount tapos ako naman laging kinakamusta like there's always something new about me. After that, gulayan na. Mum can really bargain good. Haha. And usually yung mga na-discount naming pera, pinambibili namin ng kakanin or better yet, after more than an hour's worth of shopping, sa Jollibee kami pumupunta. Minsan pag natatagalan si ermats bumili dahil sa tsismisan or pag naghahanap pa sya ng mga bagong paninda, nanonood ako ng mga naglalaro ng NES (o Family Computer, as you know it more commonly). Aliw na aliw ako sa mga naglalaro ng Mario 2 dahil kaya nila yung 100 lives (actually I think it's more than that). As years progressed, so did the games I watched whilst I waited for mum. Sa SNES, a bunch of pugilists beating the living shit out of each other. There's even a couple of guys who can hurl fireballs. That's how I reallt got started with gaming, but that's a story best told some other time. Anyway, upon seeing the old marketplace, I realized that despite the horrible arson incident back in the late '90s and the massive makeovers that the surrounding areas had, it still is what it has always been.
After my nostalgia, dumeretso na ako sa Las Pinas. Spent most of my time with my wife and kid, then played HoD. As I expected, I there was still a lot of secret items I needed to get just for the heck of making a “godsave”. Pag-uwi ko sa Calamba, there was the leftover siomai that mum made, and it was so good, I immediately went to sleep, satisfied.
Monday, November 19.
I really felt that something was going to be wrong at work today. Nung Byernes, nawalan kami bigla ng calls at around 2200 (I was supposed to call a learner at 2240). Alan and Jane weren't able to come to work nor go out with us that night because they said the HQ needed them for an important meeting. Nung dumating ako at around 1330 today, wala pa rin sina Alan at Jane, and most of us had little to no calls at all (I actually didn't have any calls today). With every other task given already done, today was a very slow day. Random Internet surfing. Killing time with injecting useless information in my head for 8 hours. I am hoping that this is the start of a downward spiral which would eventually jeopardize our career.
Kaninang umaga, bago ako umalis, tumawag si Kaji sa bahay, which was quite a surprise for us. He said he needed money because his entire stash was stolen due to a highway robbery sa Baclaran on his way to North... Waitwaitwait – Why would a cab go SO FAR when taking the SLEX is a helluva lot easier? How could a cab be stolen sa Baclaran when it'll be as easy to shout for help as well? Rikki-chan and I gave it the benefit of the doubt anyway and decided to pay back at the most 30 per cent of what we owe him every fifteen days so we can help the guy recover from this tragic event. Oh and by the way, why don't you try taking this test just for kicks? http://www.salon.com/books/it/1999/09/13/machtest/
Though if there's any redeeming factor in all of this, it's the fact that I was able to finally finish Harmony of Dissonance. It wasn't as difficult as I expected, and the ending is something less of spectacular. Tip: for the best ending, make sure you equip Juste's and Maxim's bracelets when fighting the last boss(es). Now would be the perfect time for me to find walkthroughs to help me create a godsave file before I move on to conquer Circle of the Moon.
It's just 2035 in my watch, so that basically means I still have less than three hours to burn in this goddamn cubicle before I regain my sanity with some sleep. Speaking of sanity, I'll get some fresh air right now by going outside for a bit. All for now, class dismissed.~

Post 007: Two-In-One
Gently, The Rain Sings For Me. Thursday, November 15.
Tamang reminiscing muna tayo. Speaking of which, being the bunch of perverts that we were nung high school and college days, me and my classmates would always look for rain-drenched girls for shallow pleasures of being able to see through their clothes, lalo na pag naka-uniform sila. Hehe. Nung medyo tumanda na ako, medyo na-expose na sa medyo “manly” na sports, so habang umuulan, laro ng basketbol sa kanto with the same fuckers I grew up with. The game in general didn't click sa akin, so I started looking for an alternative. Football proved to be a sport with a huge appeal on me. Maybe he shared the same burdens as I did. Napatitig ako, at na-engganyong kumain.
I've Got Two Words For Ya... Friday, November 16.
Hindi tuloy ang gimik namin with Alan and Jane since we figured out it would be impractical so dinner na lang namin sila iti-treat. And besides, a lot of people are very busy with their whatnots so kahit na matuloy kami, konti lang. And for the record, this week was our best so far. Walang hassles, walang mga kontrabida, at may bagong kakampi pa. Hehe. Sana magtuluy-tuloy na ito hanggang kaya namin. Kahapon, gusto kong i-crotch chops sa mukha (DX-style) si FAB From Below after Jane told us that it's okay to use ANY website for material references. That meant that YouTube and the like was as legal as a headlock from that point on. But being the reformed sons and daughters of bitches that we are, of course we won't abuse that privilege... or at least not get caught doing so. Haha. And in the spirit of D-X's one night only reunion a couple of weeks back (which I only managed to watch kanina via wwe.com), here's something i found sa Wikiquote to make your day.
(DX's theme music hits; both Triple H and Shawn Michaels have dumbfounded looks on their faces as they walk to the ring before smirking)
Shawn Michaels: Before we get started, you've got to tell me. Do I look like that much of an idiot when we come out together?
Triple H: Shawn, I'm not going to lie to you.
Triple H promptly starts talking to Edge & Randy Orton
Triple H: What are you guys doing? I honestly don't see where you guys are coming from with this...mad at us...you're two of the most dominant superstars here in the WWE.
Triple H talks directly to Edge
Triple H: You're the Rated R Superstar, Edge. Two time WWE Champion.
Triple H then talks directly to Randy Orton
Triple H: You're the Legend Killer, Randy Orton. The youngest World Heavyweight Champion ever.
Triple H: And then, you thought that we think that you're just a bunch of jokes. (Triple H asks the crowd) Does anyone of you thinks that these guys are jokes? (Crowd reacted sarcastically)
Triple H: Well, me personally, I don't. Edge, you're the Rated R Superstar, right? (Edge nods arrogantly)
Shawn Michaels: Your segment here on Monday night RAW was the highest rated program, in, forever!
Triple H: Especially when you and Lita made that live sex show here inside the ring although you cannot rise to the occasion. (Triple H pointed to the Titantron showing the picture of Edge half naked in boxer shorts while Lita is in a downward position doing a foreplay on Edge)
Triple H: But in all fairness to Lita she have made you half aroused. (Shawn Michaels whispered to Triple H)
Triple H: Oh, just a correction. You're already fully aroused at that point. It was a cold day that day, so you've also got to account for shrinkage. (Crowd laughs)
Triple H: And you Randy, you're the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in the history of the WWE. Young, dominant and athletic at the same time. (Triple H addresses the crowd) Did you know that Randy Orton is the most searched WWE superstar in the whole World Wide Web? (Randy Orton was obviously flattered and starts gesturing arrogantly)
Triple H: That is...within the gay community. (Crowd laughs and Randy Orton smirked) If you go to any search engine and type in, RANDY ORTON GAY COMMUNITY, you're gonna get stuff like this. (Triple H pointed to the Titantron showing a picture of Randy Orton naked with a towel below his waist in front view)
Triple H: Or like this one ( Another picture of Randy Orton naked with a towel this time on back view)
Randy Orton: (Obviously embarassed) Oh, come on, man!
Triple H: Or like this. (This time it's Shawn Michaels half naked picture that came out in Playgirl Magazine)
Crowd goes into a frenzy
Shawn Michaels (Shocked and embarassed): Did you put that in there???!!!
Triple H: Calm down, Shawn!
Shawn Michaels: I was young! I was stupid! ...You told me GIRLS bought that magazine! ...Moving on! Moving on!
Triple H: "Hey, don't worry, I got a lot more photos! Hey, show the one of Orton with the midget and the jellybean!" (After Triple H shows photos of Randy Orton posing half naked)
Randy Orton: "OK, guys, that's it! Enough is enough! The joke's over! Hunter, I want you tonight!"
Triple H:"Easy, cowboy. You might want me, but I don't swing to that side of the plate! You know what I'm saying? "
(Crowd laughs)
Edge: "Hey! Hey! That's not what he means! What he means is that he wants you in this ring so he can beat your ass!"
Triple H: (Looking confused) "What did you say he wants to do to my ass!?"
Shawn Michaels:(Trying to act as a peacemaker) Look guys. Cooler heads should prevail here. This kind of rhetoric won't bring us anywhere.
That leaves me with two words for ya: Happy weekend. Class dismissed.~

Post 0006: New York Minute
- Today, we officially said goodbye to the flat. I didn't bother to sleep dun kagabi considering na wala na kaming gamit dun apart from the fridge, and since it was Rikki-chan's off, she also wanted me to sleep sa in-laws'. I woke up at around 7 para maagang maipagpatuloy ang HoD mania. Hehe. Suprisingly, after more or less an hour, Kaji finally shows up. Di daw sya makapunta dahil sa conflicts sa sked nya. Kukunin na raw nya yung mga gamit at dun daw muna sya sa may medyo malapit sa workplace nya for convenience's sake. Fortunately for him we did all the packing for him so the little man went out to fetch a cab while we sort out his stuff. He said that he'll have to wait for his transfer to Alabang before he takes a flat nearby my in-laws' house again, which most probably will happen sometime before December. I hope that if ever, the next flat would be a helluva lot better than the first one. Why? Una, sobrang weird ng texture at coloring ng bahay. Pangalawa, the water and lighting systems suck. Pangatlo, there's always this leak coming out of nowhere, Dark Water-stlye. Hindi naman galing sa ref yun dahil kung tutulo man yun, it wouldn’t be as much as the ones I usually wake up to, and it's impossible to have come from the faucet since may two weeks na ring walang tubig sa bahay. Siguro kung hindi naman nagmamadali sa paghahanap si Kaji ng bahay dati, we wouldn't have picked that one. But anyway, at least we had a taste of what we'd probably be dealing with in the near future. Too bad we didn't get to stay in that flat long enough during the two months that we stayed there though.
- Another tragedy struck the country yesterday when the Batasan Pambansa in Quezon City fell victim to a heinous bomb attack at around 8pm. As this blog was being written, there were already 3 confirmed deaths and 11 more casualties still confined in various hospitals. My deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of Rep. Wahab Akbar, Marcial Taldo, and Maan Gale Abustanillo. It was a creepy story for me to hear from John kahapon thru an SMS sent to him by his mum, especially when my media player was playing the song “New York Minute” by The Eagles. Here's the lyrics of that song.
New York Minute – The Eagles
Harry got up
Dressed all in black
Went down to the station
And he never came back
They found his clothing
Scattered somewhere down the track
And he won’t be down on wall street
In the morning
He had a home
The love of a girl
But men get lost sometimes
As years unfold
One day he crossed some line
And he was too much in this world
But I guess it doesn’t matter anymore
In a new york minute
Everything can change
In a new york minute
Things can get pretty strange
In a new york minute
Everything can change
In a new york minute
Lying here in the darkness
I hear the sirens wail
Somebody going to emergency
Somebody’s going to jail
If you find somebody to love in this world
You better hand on tooth and nail
The wolf is always at the door
In a new york minute
Everything can change
In a new york minute
Things can get a little strange
In a new york minute
Everything can change
In a new york minute
And in these days
When darkness falls early
And people rush home
To the ones they love
You better take a fool’s advice
And take care of your own
One day they’re here;
Next day they’re gone
I pulled my coat around my shoulders
And took a walk down through the park
The leaves were falling around me
The groaning city in the gathering dark
On some solitary rock
A desperate lover left his mark,
’baby, I’ve changed. please come back.’
What the head makes cloudy
The heart makes very clear
The days were so much brighter
In the time when she was here
But I know there’s somebody somewhere
Make these dark clouds disappear
Until that day, I have to believe
I believe, I believe
In a new york minute
Everything can change
In a new york minute
You can get out of the rain
In a new york minute
Everything can change
In a new york minute
In this case, sa Pilipinas. Pero no matter how you look at it, it's all the just the same kahit aksidente o hindi. Di ba nga may kasabihan sa Ingles, “It's better safe than sorry”?
And in these days
When darkness falls early
And people rush home
To the ones they love
You better take a fool’s advice
And take care of your own
One day they’re here;
Next day they’re gone.
- All for now, I guess. Class dismissed.~

They found his clothing
Scattered somewhere down the track
And he won’t be down on wall street
In the morning
He had a home
The love of a girl
But men get lost sometimes
As years unfold
One day he crossed some line
And he was too much in this world
But I guess it doesn’t matter anymore
In a new york minute
Everything can change
In a new york minute
Things can get pretty strange
In a new york minute
Everything can change
In a new york minute
Lying here in the darkness
I hear the sirens wail
Somebody going to emergency
Somebody’s going to jail
If you find somebody to love in this world
You better hand on tooth and nail
The wolf is always at the door
In a new york minute
Everything can change
In a new york minute
Things can get a little strange
In a new york minute
Everything can change
In a new york minute
And in these days
When darkness falls early
And people rush home
To the ones they love
You better take a fool’s advice
And take care of your own
One day they’re here;
Next day they’re gone
I pulled my coat around my shoulders
And took a walk down through the park
The leaves were falling around me
The groaning city in the gathering dark
On some solitary rock
A desperate lover left his mark,
’baby, I’ve changed. please come back.’
What the head makes cloudy
The heart makes very clear
The days were so much brighter
In the time when she was here
But I know there’s somebody somewhere
Make these dark clouds disappear
Until that day, I have to believe
I believe, I believe
In a new york minute
Everything can change
In a new york minute
You can get out of the rain
In a new york minute
Everything can change
In a new york minute
In this case, sa Pilipinas. Pero no matter how you look at it, it's all the just the same kahit aksidente o hindi. Di ba nga may kasabihan sa Ingles, “It's better safe than sorry”?
And in these days
When darkness falls early
And people rush home
To the ones they love
You better take a fool’s advice
And take care of your own
One day they’re here;
Next day they’re gone.

Post 0005: The Replacement
- Today was a very surprising day at work. I came at around 1330 and when I opened the door, I saw the AM shift talking to a Korean woman. Geo was already there, so she introduced me to the woman, who happens to be Jane, the CDI officer who oversees Chris and Peggy. If my memory serves me right, she was also the one who gave me my final interview over the phone. At first glance she looks just like a typical 24-year old Korean girl but wait until you hear her speak. Then again, what would you expect from a high-ranking officer from the HQ, right? Anyway, I came during their wrap-up so I missed sharing my opinions with her. Pero I sort of eavesdropped on them talking about the problems that the account has been having. She said she'll do her best to help out since that's one of the reasons she is here after all. So the PM shift started, and not surprisingly, we didn't have calls for today. Nung pagbalik ko, nagpatawag ng meeting si Jane, binigay nila yung sulat, and we all went outside to have the conversation in private. Kawalanghiyaan talaga. Tapos pati yung isyu sa kinikita namin na may bawas, e samantalang nagbibigay pala sila sa HQ ng pera on time palagi at wala namang taxes to pay for us in this case. Even if there was, it couldn't possibly be that big. Kita ko rin naman ang pagkabigla ni Jane nung narinig nya yung mga reports namin, and her amazement was mixed with irritation due to the fact that we're being maltreated in this office. And it seems that Jane's going to act like a Korean Ben Tulfo on this issue.
Ginising ako ni Rikki-chan around 7 ata, then we decided to stay in bed until my phone alarm went off. I knew it was going to be a busy day so I just made her sleep sa kabila, I played Harmony of Dissonance for an hour, cuddled Sean in between game breaks, then went in and out of the flat and the other house, packing and moving stuff, in preparation for the departure. Unfortunately, the little man hasn't arrived yet sa flat. I don't know what his motives are, but not taking care of something you're partly responsible for is something I don't really like. Considering that he's the original spark of this plan, he should be the one at the helm, something that he's not doing at the moment. I hope he shows his butt tonight or tomorrow before he actually pisses me off.
- Speaking of Harmony of Dissonance, nakausad na rin ako sa wakas kanina. I found a way leading to the chapel sa Castle B. Medyo naninibago pa rin ako but I am very excited to continue my quest bukas and get all the important items and kick Dracula's ass once again. I'll finish this without FAQs muna, figure out what I missed, and play those parts before playing as Maxim and the 8-bit Simon. Hehe.
- A funny thing happened after we had lunch outside kanina. Nung pagbalik ko sa desk ko, I found a little Milky Way bar on my table. Of course I was like, “who in heaven's name would offer me a candy bar?”. Everyone had their guesses. Why would she give someone like me a Milky Way bar? I think it's a thing they call “gratitude”. I noticed that she was having chills all day and I heard her say a couple of times that she needed a jacket to keep her warm. Of course, being the generally-kind guy that I am (as opposed to the Randy Orton-ish image I have here with the FABs), I offered her my jacket, which, thankfully, didn't smell of sweat (thanks to dad-in-law's Hugo Boss, LOL). I guess in life, in the simplest of situations, people really do get what they deserve.
- I can't wait to see the unexplored parts of the castle tomorrow, and to find out the results of Jane's crusade for CDI. All for now, class dismissed.~

Post 0004: Three And A Half Days
The Remnants of Friday, November 09.
Considering that we've been under seige for quite some time now, I have taken both sides of the argument into deep contemplation and I realized that the antagonism will always be a constant in our work here until we have established ourselves, which leads us to the other half – the self-inflicted antagonism amongst the group. Fucking up a lot isn't something that we're really good at, but I guess this was due to how we were brought up by our former superiors, and the obscure amount of misunderstanding between our account, the others, and the entire administration. Subconsciously, we have made ourselves hunters hunted. Before heading home, we all took time to talk about this matter and decided to keep our work standards higher and still be maka-masa. Mahirap kung tutuusin, but as I've instilled in their minds, the reward is knowing that in the end, we still get the last laugh, along with the highest EIA salary in the entire company. I hope that this plan materializes next week.
A Reunion of Some Sort, Saturday, November 10.
I woke up at around 7am and started to contact my friends slash hired muscles Rain, Julius and Sensie to help us move stuff and tidy up the apartment in preparation for the upcoming exodus. Unfortunately, Sensie was out of reach so it was just Rain who was able to go. He came to the house at around 10 then we went to Julius' place to fetch him. Luckily enough the bastard was there so we prodded him to go with us and due to a lack of choice, he did. I'm sure he wanted to come too anyway. Haha. So on with the journey with my long-time buddies inside an ordinary bus. It wasn't ever about playing KOF XI sa SM Southmall, it was all about the old school titles ('97 and '98 to be exact). It seemed that the flare of the 11th installment of the series has burned out in all of us, pati sa mga Samahang Hubadero. O baka ako lang. Maybe it's because I'm too preoccipied with work to care about playing KOF XI. Anyway, so when we reached Rikki-chan's manor, I immediately rushed for Sean and started cuddling my baby boy, and all the while I knew Rain was amazed with how big his godson has grown these past few months. We ate lunch, then after a couple of hours resting, we re-arranged the house while Kaji slept the whole day away (he was allegedly awake for 48 hours so cut the guy some slack, I thought). Rikki-chan had to go to work so we went to SM Southmall to buy a big utility box for our stuff. Of course, it meant a chance to play KOF XI ulit. Mapurol na talaga akong maglaro. Well, either that or sira lang talaga yung controller. Rikki-chan played DDR all the while we were kicking asses sa KOF. She didn't have enough time to buy the box afterwards so she just left us with some cash and told us to buy it since we're going back to the flat anyway. Rain, Julius and I decided to go upstairs again to play for a bit more, then dumating yung isang turtle player ng KOF XI. I lost, but it didn't provoke me to grab a token and beat him. It seems that I'm starting to grow out of this thing... or maybe ayoko kasi sira yung controller. Haha. So we dropped the box sa crib, with a Kaji still in la-la land, so we deicded to go home na since it was getting late and Rain had to get home earlier than 12mn. Luckily enough, kahit na 10:30 na e may dumaan pang bus so syempre dun na kami sumakay instead of an agonizing jeepney ride that costs 5 pesos more. Nakarating na kami ng Calamba at around 11:30, with our brains filled with thoughts of gay traitors, strange friends, bukkake, and Kyo Kusanagi's 100 Shiki: Oniyaki (dp + P). Go figure.
Lex Luthor Kicks Superman's Ass, Sunday, November 12.
I was really planning to get a longer sleep than what I had this day, but since umalis si Giselle, walang mag-aalaga kay Sean so of course, I had to be there early. After a quick bite I rushed to Las Pinas and found myself babysitting again after a long while. My dad in law was busy watching re-runs of the World Pool Championships sa ESPN. It was the semis match highlights so I was lost between watching it and taking care of Sean. The finals was between a Brit veteran named Daryl Peach (a bald, middle-aged guy ergo the Lex Luthor title after the match) and Roberto Gomez, a Filipino rookie who went by the monicker Superman. I figured out it was a good way to bond with the old man so what the hey, I tried to keep up with it. Who would've thought that I'd end up enjoying the damn thing. Too bad for him they had to go for the weekly weekender sa Rizal. Fortunately, they brought the kid with them so I was able to continue my Castlevania conquest (hehe). The result? Juste is still fucking lost in the woods (or castle, whichever way you want to put it). And I swore na hindi ako magbabasa ng walkthrough until I have finished the game. Di bale, sa mga susunod na araw, I'll have an hour a day to do just that. During that time the WPC left my head but when the parents came home a bit earlier than I expected, I was pulled back into it because apparently, the race to 17 finals match hasn't ended yet. So dad-in-law switched the TV to ESPN and we caught the action midway. It was a close fight. A close, whoever-fucks-up-first-loses match. At one point Gomez finally got the lead, but due to a couple of fatal errors, Peach was able to nail Superman to 15 and grab the title this year. Gomez had a lot of miscalculations and wasn't able to capitalize on Peach's mistakes so the Briton played aggresively to the top. I can't blame the Filipino, it was his first time in the spotlight. Maybe it was just too much for the newbie. Oh well, there's always next year. And let's just hope that Superman won't be dazed by Kryponite by that time. The rest of the day went as normal, and I was just happy to be sleeping in the comforts of my own bed, knowing that Monday's a couple of hours ahead, and it will be unmerciful.
The Office Just Got A Little Smaller, November 13.
- Woke up early and went to Las Pinas early, considering na Lunes ngayon at talagang trapik sa SLEX due to the rehabilitation of the roads na hanggang ngayon eh hindi pa rin tapos. When I reached home, Giselle still wasn't home so once again, daddy and mommy had to babysit. Aryeh, Ytin's boyfriend, brought the other episodes of Gundam 00 pero it didn't interest me much because of the reviews I got from Shinji and I was too busy preparing for work. Lilipat na kami by Wednesday, so mamayang gabi bago ako matulog I'll try to pack things up in preparation. I think that as I am writing this entry, the sisters are looking for a new flat. Hay naku, Kaji. Be thankful you have friends na mag-aasikaso ng mga bagay na dapat nilalakad mo rin. Anyway, umalis ako ng maaga, and when I reached the office, may mga bago nang workstations to our left. Maglalagay ata sila ng bagong account dito or maybe their workforce just got a bit bigger now. Haha. This entry was made earlier since my first call got cancelled and so mamaya pag andito na si FAB, pwede na akong magbisi-busyhan. Hehehe. All for now I guess. Class dismissed.~

The official entry for November 09, Thursday, and November 10, Friday.
- Thursday was a very dark day, at least in terms of my office life. I believe that there has always been a rain of insults (thus the title of this entry) following me and my teammates for the past few days, considering that we are now at the mercy of a fickle invisible chain of command here in the office. We don't know exactly which rules to follow, but at least our backs are covered by Alan, our Korean boss. But for how long, that we cannot answer. We are hoping for better days. Almost everyone in the team's getting into all sorts of unimaginable trouble; sometimes our fault, and sometimes, believe it or not, we get framed – that's exactly what happened to me. I was innocently using the PC that Chris used to use since mine was broken and there were no other PCs available. Around that afternoon, someone sat beside me. I kind of noticed her from a couple of days back and remembered she always does her job there. Little did I know that something was afoot. A couple of moments after that, she approached Alan. Geo told me that she heard them talk about me using the PC. Logically, I think anyone in my position would've done the same, but for that woman, I was already doing an offense. Hello? At least you could've directly told me that was a no-no and I would've gladly left that seat in respect of the rules. I was not aware. But you DID NOT. That was one heavy rain of insult you hurled my way. So after the second time I sat on that computer and tried to do my work there, she finally talked to me and said that Alan already told me that it was off-limits for non-supervisors (so I quickly assumed that she was – good for her). Startled, I asked, “So, what am I supposed to use then?” In the most poilte manner possible. Turned out it was an insult for her, so after she told me to contact the IT staff, she called the HR and her fellow she-males got pissed off. When I got back, she told me that someone down the HR wanted to talk to me so off I went. I was cornered in a room and confronted directly with crimes I was not guilty of. Still being in a reasonable state of thinking, I decided not to prolong the bullshit that started upstairs by denying the accusations but apologizing for the misunderstanding nonetheless, but it seems these amazons are really looking for blood in their doorsteps. “I just hope you're telling the truth”, she said. “Ma'am, I KNOW I am telling the truth,” I replied. After that I went upstairs again, and despite the hatred I harbored for the cunt I decided to let it go for now. Someday, she will pay for her offenses dearly. A bloody rain of insults will storm her cloudy future, I know. As for the entire situation in general, we have figured out that to beat the opposition, we have to play by their rules and eventually make them tap out soon as soon as we blindside them. The objective is to genuinely befriend those we think are worthy of the camaraderie and trust, build a strong relationship with them, try not to fuckup in any manner, and make them our cash cows, until we find the need to ditch them. As I am writing this, things are considerably looking up for the account. I just hope that my perception is not fooling me.
- Lighter side of things na uli. Medyo ayoko nang pag-usapan eh. Hehe. For the past few days, I've been hooked on Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance. Ever since I got the other GBA emulator titles from Dan, I decided that I will finish them all para madagdagan na ang knowledge ko sa story and gameplay ng Castlevania. It is heavily similar to Symphony of the Night, but in my opinion twice as hard. If you get crushed underneath a big opponent, you don't seem to gain temporary invincibility (you get hurled away and gain a second's worth of invulnerablitity in most of the games in the series) well of course it works with the non-boss enemies, that is, if they're not the kind that will follow you while they're tossing you around, causing a significant chunk of your life meter to drop. This really becomes a problem in the early parts of the game. I didn't read any FAQs for this because I didn't want any sort of spoiler, but I looked up for the map so I know how big the castle is. Another similarity to SotN is you get to walk around a second castle as well. For the most part you could say this was like the SotN's son.
- So why the Dir En Grey title, by the way? Good question. If you've known me since day one, you know that DeG is one of my favorite bands. But a recent discovery just made them cooler in my list. Thanks to the ever-helpful Wikipedia, I was able to extract a couple of interesting facts about the Osaka-based quintet. Read all about it here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dir_en_grey.
- All for now I guess. I hope you guys will enjoy the weekend as much as I will (dalawang araw na walang pasok! Woooooooot~). Class dismissed.~

Post 0002: Back To Normal
Am I really that inupdated?
- I missed eating Hot Loops donuts. I have to say eating a couple of it kagabi gave me a good night's sleep. Bakit at papano, hindi ko rin alam, pero I assumed that was the case. The price is almost twice as the ones at Dunkin' Donuts, but if you were born around the same time as I were, alam mo na malaki pa yung Dunkin' Donuts dati. Kumbaga, sulit yung 15-18 pesos mo sa Hot Loops. Hm, I wonder what the donuts in Krispy Kreme taste like...
- Since off ni Rikki-chan kahapon, ipinasyal nila si Sean sa SM Southmall. Makatawag-pansin daw ang kaguwapuhan ng anak ko. Hehe. One of the clerks even said that Sean should join that Star Baby contest. I knew I have bred the next big supastar! *snicker snicker*
- By the way, have you guys noticed that Marie France billboard sa may Guadalupe with Dawn Zulueta wearing a striped top? Sa biglang tingin she looks like Leah Dizon dun sa ad. I shit you not. Either way, she looks absolutely hot dun sa ad.
If you have, I'm sure you have noticed that it's now one big advertising bus. Pag sumasakay ka sa bus nila on a regular basis and sa isang regular na oras, malamang sa malamang, you've felt at one point that you were in the Twilight Zone or something kasi paulit-ulit lang yung ads and features sa TV.
- Ads ng Asialink (parang loan agency or sumthin)
- Ad ng Happee Toothpaste featuring Lea Salonga
- Ad ng isang nursing review center (forgot the name)
- Random experimental movies (some of the frequent ones are: A story about gays na nakipag-EB ata sa SM southmall, yung parang horror, yung tungkol sa isang babae na pine-persuade ng dalawang tao na bumili ng random items all @ 10 pesos each)
- Ads ng Manila Pride Fest (The 1st International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Film Festival 2007 , which I think is good BTW)
- Some random comedy, videoke and magic trick clips
- This weird slideshow about "finding your inner self" or sumthin'
- A slideshow featuring cognitive illusions, and finally, my personal favorite,
- Ads ng Plasmin (just listen to the vioce-over. You'll know why. LOL)
Nagkakataon pa minsan talaga na it would be the same stuff as the last night for me, so minsan it really bothers me. Nung una, oo, I have to say it was interesting, but the next few rides were... disturbing. Sana ibalik na lang nila yung mga TV na may DVD players para makapanood ng flicks even before they hit the silver screen. Hehe.
The shift went on as expected, us taking calls, making reports, making updates, and I think Alan's now a bit sedated. He even defended the issue of reverting to our original OS (Windows) against the protests of other Korean administrators. Rak on ka pre. I mean lolah. I've always known he/she was a nice, er, person. Hehe. I mean, there's a good reason why we're here, and they should just accept the cold hard fact that we are that damn good. Woooooooot~
- Since medyo nakaluluwag na ako, I have decided to build a type 2 elf deck, most of the cards belonging to the latest expansion Lorwyn (I have to say it's my second favorite expansion, second only to Kamigawa block). Check out the prototype, and leave a comment if possible (if you're not into these kinds of things, skip this part - geek alert).

Post 0001: Greener Pastures
- Hey everyone. I assume that if you know this blog, it means one of two things:
1. You stumbled upon it by some random cirumstance and you're wondering why the hell are you reading a blog written in a mix of English and Tagalog, or
2. You've known this silly blog from its Friendster origin. Either way, welcome to my world. :)
If you wanna know about me, hm... Let me give you a quick rundown of the details. I'm Filipino-Spanish, 5'6, a Mass Communications graduate, a husband of a loving wife and a dad of a very handsome kid, 13-year Magic: The Gathering vet, been a fan of the game The King of Fighters since '94, a frustrated scriptwriter/novelist, film and music lover, an addict for Italian and Japanese food, an ESL instructor... for everything else, you can just view my profile at www.friendster.com/profiles/wrensrunpackmaster.
- So why make a Blogger account when I can just use Friendster, right? The IT staff here blocked access to it ergo I had to find an alternate place to write, and here I am - greener pastures... So anyway, medyo nabubulol na ako at hindi ako komportable sa purong Ingles na entry so simulan na natin ang ligaya!~
When we last left our hero...
Hassle yung kagabi. Nilagnat nga ako sa sobrang mental stress from that tragic revelation that our American supervisors Chris and Peggy were sacked by the administration (which, by the way, was a VERY WRONG DECISION in my opinion) for reasons I failed to catch from the pre-lunch meeting ceremonies kanina (will update you guys ASAP). Anyway, I wasn't really able to have a good night's sleep kagabi due to that. Mga alas-tres na ata nung nakatulog ako. Buti na lang at may natirang Biogesic sa cupboard and I think it helped me recuperate. I woke up at around 6am, and I realized that Rikki-chan was at the door so I opened it tapos nahiga sya sa tabi ko. I kinda missed that kasi with the conflicts with schedules and all, it's a rarity. I just hugged her as we slept sideways until 8am, then she decided to go sleep sa kabilang bahay. I said magpapaiwan muna ako for an hour or so kasi masarap na ang pwesto ko (hehe). So after an hour I prepared for work (I had to go early for the meeting with Chris and Peggy) and immediately rushed for... a detour - SM Megamall. Why? I bought Magic cards. ^_^;; I got a bargain consisting of a foil version of Brigid, Hero of Kinsbaile (100 lang sa *bleep!*, compared sa iba, yung non-foil 100 din), and a couple of elf cards (particularly Elvish Harbringer. 50 each, pero I know it'll go up) for 370 pesos in total. So enough geek talk and on with the story. Paglabas ko ng Gamol, anlakas ng ulan, which of course implied that I was going to be late. Nag-hesitate ako whether to take the taxi or public transport kasi sobrang unpredictable nung ulan kanina at takot akong magkasakit. I braved the overpass sa Megamall, reached Starmall, saw a cab, rode, then headed for our office. Andun sila, complete, nakatambay sa isang Korean convenience store sa kabilang building. I missed most of the juicy details na nun but not lunch. Hehe. Chris was concerned about us being late for work (1345 dapat nasa cubicles na kami) but we said it won't be a problem considering we didn't have any calls today. Bad move.
When we reached the cubicles, you can only imagine how pissed Alan was at us. For a homosexual Korean, he showed manly anger kanina. I kinda figured out that based on experience, Koreans were really like that so sabi ko sa kanila palamigin muna ang ulo ni charla. Hey, at least we didn't get sacked for that (the final straw na nga lang LOL) pero I don't think we would do such actions if not for the flow of events for the past few days. Everyone else is just jealous about what we have so they're trying to bring us down. Amazons. May araw din sila. So after letting off some steam, life went as normal for the rest of the day. The OS we're using is back to Windows kasi the program for the student files is hard to use with Linux. And as we have all agreed upon kagabi, we're going to just let things go by and earn money that the rest of the accounts are jealous of. Kumbaga, since somehow e may assurance naman na di kami tatanggalin or ililipat sa ibang accounts, I guess we only have to hold on to that until it turns for the bad (which we hope won't happen). Anyway I'm already formulating backup plans in case everyone else decides to abandon ship, pero ayun nga, I'm hoping I won't have to resort to that plan... that is, until a better offer comes along. Haha.
- Lighter side of things naman. I think na malapit na kaming umalis sa flat namin kasi uwwi daw yung landlord and he's going to have it renovated, which means na kelangan na naming humanap ng lilipatan na malapit pa rin sa vicinity. Whew. Matinding buhatan ng gamit ito. Especially with the ref. Sana maganda yung makuha namin tsaka spacious. LOL
- I'll turn my attention to my YM conference now since I'm already at a loss for words to say and stories to tell so I'll catch you guys again tomorrow. Hope you guys will always drop by the blog and leave comments and sh*t. Anyway, class dismissed.~
